The waterproof and dishwasher safe 9878E measures temperatures from -40 degrees to +500 degrees. The 9878E also measures in C as well as F. The battery compartment on the newest model has been improved and the FDA 1.5mm probe has been added for more accuracy. The extra large backlit LCD is easy to read in most light conditions. This thermometer is NSF listed.
